So if you want to get the most of your newly found love of turmeric in your juice detox, add a little pinch of black pepper!

If you can find it, turmeric is best when it's grated fresh from the root with the skin on. Not too difficult to find these days in supermarkets, just give a nub of turmeric a wash in the sink and add it to your detox juice.

If you can only get hold of ground or powdered turmeric, add a teaspoon or so in your juice instead - you’ll still get mountains of healthy goodness from this addition to your juice. 

Remember, add a little sprinkling of black pepper for maximum absorption of the magical benefits!
